Visitors to Atelier 23 during winter 2007 to summer 2008, will have made the acquaintance of young Swiss graffiti artist, Marcel Meier, who was resident for ten months. Some may even have been lucky enough to pick up one of his pieces on canvas or furniture or a piece of his wearable art at his sell-out show in July 2008.
Marcel is back in Atelier 23 for the month of May to explore further his materials and techniques, bringing abstract art and graffiti together on his canvases, most of which have been reserved in advance as commissioned pieces or for exhibition in Switzerland.
There will be a few exciting works for sale, however, at his solo show at Atelier 23 on Thursday 28 May- vernissage from 6.30 - 9pm.
