Ronnie Ford was one of several artists invited to paint an ostrich egg for Iona House Gallery in Woodstock in Oxford. His poppy landscape was among fifty eggs auctioned on Easter Monday to raise funds for Scottish charity Mary’s Meals providing food for African children. Ronnie’s egg fetched £200, contributing to the impressive total of £6310. Diana Zajicek, from the gallery’s Scottish office, said: “We are absolutely delighted with how the auction has gone. We’ve had bids from across the UK and as far afield as America.” Ronnie shows annually in Iona House Gallery’s Scottish show which will take place this year in October.
