Vibrant Arts at the Pier, Kilmun
Posted on August 25th, 2010
The Pier at Kilmun was buzzing on Saturday 14 August when over eighty people popped in to welcome the Vibrant Arts. The sun shone on the beautiful lochside location, as international artists showed their work, the Vibrant Arts Band played music inspired by the art work, and chefs Estralita and Ian prepared artistic canapés, served on artists’ palettes, to the delighted crowd.
Vibrant Arts was founded in 2009 by Ronnie Ford, along with founder artists, David Acevedo from Florida, Jonathan Jay Lee from Hong Kong and Marcello from Switzerland. Following two successful exhibitions they were joined in October 2009 by German musicians Juergen Kast, Uwe Boehler, Nico Olivier and Ralf Feinstein who make up the Vibrant Arts Band. Their aim is for all the arts to inspire each other and to bring that inspiration to as wide an audience as possible, through dining events, gallery events, corporate events and education.
Following the success of Saturday’s taster event, this truly international group is joining forces with the team at The Pier to present a unique Vibrant Arts Dining Experience on 30 October, which will feature four artworks, four musical compositions and a delectable dinner menu also inspired by the art. Tables are being snapped up fast.
The Pier at Kilmun, the birthplace of Vibrant Arts Dining, has reached the top five restaurants in Smooth Radio’s Love Glasgow and The West Awards. Cast your vote at smoothradioglasgow.co.uk if you want to see a local winner!
